Norah & Edgars are a couple currently living in Australia. The groom is from Latvia, while the bride is from Vietnam. They chose Da Nang, Vietnam, for their destination wedding, resulting in a truly multicultural celebration.
After exchanging vows on one of the most beautiful beaches in Vietnam, they performed the candle lighting ceremony, a Latvian tradition symbolizing light and hope for their marriage.
The evening began with an impressive introduction, featuring the Kaku lauzana ceremony from Latvia. Together, they broke a dish, and the number of shattered pieces represents the number of children they wish to have after marriage.
Their guests were treated to a delectable Vietnamese buffet filled with delicious local cuisine.
The first dance was performed in traditional Latvian attire, showcasing the intimacy and pride in each other’s cultures.
Various ceremonies and rituals from both cultures demonstrated the spirit of unity, sincerity, and well-wishes for their marriage from family and friends.
