Thành and Thuyên held their wedding just before the outbreak of COVID-19 in Vietnam. However, this didn’t diminish the significance of their traditional wedding ceremony. The blending of Vietnamese and Chinese wedding cultures in District 5 was clearly evident in the rituals performed by both families. The groom’s family presented the eight traditional gifts to the bride’s family, and the betrothal and bride’s welcoming ceremonies took place.
