HA GIANG LOOP

Ha Giang, located at the northernmost point of Vietnam, is home to some of the country’s most striking landscapes. Towering mountains surround the jade-green Nho Que River as it flows through the deep Tu San Canyon. The region is dotted with winding rice terraces and villages of friendly ethnic minority communities. The Ha Giang Loop – a legendary route for those who love to travel – was the journey we took with H & N, capturing their elopement story among the mountains and rivers.

A Bold Elopement Adventure in Ha Giang

H & N have been together for 13 years. To mark this milestone, H returned from Sydney to join N in tying the knot in Ha Giang – one of the most special places in Vietnam. From Hanoi, we took an overnight bus to Ha Giang and began a 3-day journey in a 16-seater van, travelling along the iconic Ha Giang Loop. Amidst the towering mountains and the jade-green waters of the Nho Que River, they shared an intimate elopement that was later honoured as one of the Top 5 Best Elopements of the year in the Junebug Weddings Choice Award.
